Access to the RD Research Portal requires an active subscription. To get started:

1. Click the "Login / Portal" button in the top navigation.
2. Select "Register" and complete the sign-up form with your institutional or professional details.
3. Choose your subscription plan (Individual, Team, or Institutional).
4. Complete payment — access is activated within 15 minutes.

We accept the following payment methods:

• Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
• PayPal and PayPal Credit.
• Bank wire transfer (for institutional orders of $500+).
• Purchase Order (PO) with Net 30 terms for approved institutional clients.

All transactions are secured using PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. We do not store payment card details on our servers.

Yes — you may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings. Our refund eligibility is as follows:

• Monthly plans: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. No pro-rata refunds.
• Annual plans: Full refund available within 14 days of purchase if fewer than 3 login sessions have occurred.
• After 14 days: Non-refundable, but plan will not auto-renew.

We welcome research proposals from academic, industrial, and government partners. The process is:

1. Download our Research Proposal Template from the portal.
2. Complete the template with project objectives, methodology, budget outline, and team details.
3. Submit to proposals@rd.org with subject: "Research Proposal — [Your Organisation]".
4. Our Scientific Committee reviews all proposals within 15 business days.
5. Shortlisted proposals advance to a detailed evaluation and negotiation stage.

Yes. RD operates the RD Innovation Seed Fund, which provides competitive grants of $10,000–$100,000 to early-stage researchers and start-ups working in our core focus domains. Grants are awarded twice yearly.

• Application windows: January–March and July–September each year.
• Eligibility: Researchers within 8 years of PhD award, or pre-revenue start-ups with institutional affiliation.
• Apply: Via the Research Portal under "Funding Opportunities".

Intellectual Property (IP) in collaborative projects is governed by a project-specific Collaboration Agreement negotiated before project commencement. Our standard framework includes:

• Background IP brought to the project by each party remains fully owned by that party.
• Foreground IP (generated during the project) is typically co-owned proportional to contribution, unless otherwise negotiated.
• RD retains the right to publish research findings for scientific purposes, subject to agreed embargo periods.
• Commercial licensing of jointly-owned IP is handled through a mutually agreed revenue-sharing arrangement.
